I had some requests to my email to have one more day of work time. I will NOT always be able to allow for that, but it never hurts to ask so PLEASE do so if you feel you are struggling to keep up. This class does have to go quickly with all the material we have to cover in such a short time. I don't want you to get lost though! Seeing that it's a Monday (I don't ever like giving tests on Mondays for a variety of reasons) I decided to allow for more work time. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU though is that I expect you to use this extra time VERY wisely! If Mrs. Tilley relays to me that it was not used wisely, I will take that information accordingly and most likely not give time like this again. Although it is a work day, please read below to see how I expect it to go. PARTNERSNo typing tutor today. The first thing you need to do is get with your assigned partner. Below I have provided the "partner" list. I have attempted to make sure you are by someone you sit close to anyway, but if not PLEASE move so you are sitting as next to each other as possible.
Step 1: TAKE CARE OF YOUR BUDDY!!! Talk honestly with each other and find out where each of you are in terms of assignments that are due turned in. If either of you is missing an assignment your goal today is to get that assignment(s) turned in! Step 2: TAKE CARE OF ANOTHER GROUP Once both of you have all assignments turned in, check with one other group. Between the four of you make sure all of you are caught up and have assignments turned in. THIS DOES NOT MEAN SHARING ASSIGNMENTS AND TURNING EACH OTHERS IN AS YOUR OWN.... Remember, I can figure out who the original owner was!! Step 3: STUDY After you have made sure you and your buddy, plus two other buddies, assignments are in you are to study for test 1. IT WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY, no changes or exceptions. Together quiz each other with your own created tests, the computer basics review, and all of the flashcards provided thus far. Step 4: EMAIL ME With 10 minutes left in class please email me ([email protected]) and tell me the following things. Who was your partner? Which other two did you and your partner get with? Does everyone have their assignments in? How do you feel about the upcoming test? How prepared do you feel your partners are? Are you worried about anyone in particular? Please be honest! I can't help if I don't know. REMEMBER!! IF MRS. TILLEY FEELS YOU ARE NOT USING THIS TIME GIVEN YOU WISELY, YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN TIME LIKE THIS AGAIN!

Complete your Review as you complete your questions, and print out your review to take home so you can study. COMPUTER VIRUSESSummary: Today we learned about computer viruses. Viruses are software that people write to destroy files and computers. There are many types of viruses, and today, you are going to learn about them by reading an article and making a PowerPoint about it. Please look at the rubric below so you know what to do to get full points. ASSIGNMENTInstructions: Please use the news article provided below to create a PowerPoint. You can click on the PowerPoint Virus link below to open up a blank PowerPoint if you would like OR do it on your google drive using Google Slides. The first part of the article is already outlined for you. All you have to do is read it, and then put what it says into the PowerPoint slides. Please add pictures, animations (movement with words and pictures-- you have to click on what you want to be able to add animations), add transitions (movement between slides). Also, add a theme (on the design tab) so that it isn't just black and white so it looks good. You should be able to get this all done by the end of the class. Save it, & drop it to me.
